After nearly a year of being out of the competitive scene, Jordyn traveled to California for the 2010 San Diego Classic where she returned to competition and competed three events in the open portion of the competition. She attended several national training camps in early 2010 and was able to fully recover from her hamstring injury from 2009. Jordyn was selected to be a member of the 2010 USA Pacific Rim Competition and traveled to Melbourne, Australia for the competition. Jordyn proved that she had returned to competitive elite gymnastics, better than ever, helping the USA secure a team gold and winning individual golds in the Junior All Around, Uneven Bars, and Floor Exercise.
American Cup Champion sums up Jordyn’s biggest accomplishment during the 2009 competition season. Jordyn won her third consecutive Twistars Invite in January and went on to earn her second consecutive Battle of the Champions title. Jordyn was also named to the United States Delegation that represented the US at the American Cup in Chicago, IL. Although the youngest competitor at the competition, Jordyn proved that she could compete with the best earning 1st all around. She then traveled to Gymnix for the 2009 Gymnix International Competition, earning 1st on vault, bars, beam, floor and the all around. A hamstring injury that occurred in June slowed Jordyn down for the summer, but she was able to successfully petition onto the 2009-2010 Junior National Team.
Jordyn started out 2008 by winning Twistar Wars Invite and Battle of the Champions. In February she earned a spot to compete at the Grand Prix Competition in Italy where helped earn Team USA a gold and also earned an AA gold. In March she was named to the Pacific Rim Competition, but scratched due to a mild ankle sprain. In May she swept the 2008 US Classic winning all events. In June Jordyn traveled to Boston, MA for the 2008 US Championships where she became the US Jr. National Champion! In November she traveled to Belgium and competed in the Top Gym Competition where she earned gold medals in the AA, Bars, and Beam.
In 2007 Jordyn won the Twistars invite, Hard Rock Invitational, and California Classic. In May she competed in the American Classic, once again winning the all around competition. In July she competed at the US Classic in Kansas City, MO tying for 5th. She traveled to San Jose, CA for the US Championships and placed 3rd all around. She was named to the Top Gym Competition which was later cancelled. In November Jordyn was named to the 2007 Jr. Pan American team and she traveled to Guatemala where team USA took first. Jordyn also earned a silver in the all around, gold on bars, gold on beam, and bronze on floor.
Jordyn had a busy year in 2006, which started out with a win at the Twistars invite where she received her mobility score for level nine. She went on to place 2nd at her competition in Las Vegas as her first level 10 competition. She won both the Cereal City Invite and Great West GymFest. At State Championships she competed only bars and beam, but successfully petitioned to Region 5 Championships where she placed 4th AA. Jordyn qualified to JO Nationals where she earned a silver medal. She then competed as an Elite at the US Classic placing 10th all-around. At US Championships Jordyn placed 9th AA and earned a spot on her first national team.
Jordyn continued her level eight season in 2005. She started off her season at the Twistars Invite taking first on vault and 2nd in the All-around. She then traveled to Florida for the Battle of the Champions taking 1st on vault, bars, and the all-around. In February she competed at the Hartland All American Invite placing 1st on vault, bars, beam, and the all-around. In March she competed in the Cereal City Invite once again winning AA. Jordyn earned gold medal on bars, beam, floor, and all-around at the Michigan State Championshps. She finished her season by placing 1st on vault, bars, and the all-around at Region 5 Championships that year.
In 2004 Jordyn completed the Twistars Invite and Battle of the Champions as a level five before moving up to level six. She competed at the 2004 Twistars invite as both a level 5 and a level 6 placing 2nd in the level 6 division. In February Jordyn won the Bay Valley Sectional and placed 2nd at the Cereal City Invite. She went on to win the Spring Fling in Grand Rapids and the Spring Fling in Kalamazoo in March. At the Michigan Level Six State Championships Jordyn placed 2nd on beam, 3rd on floor, and 2nd in the all-around. In October Jordyn competed at the Judges Cup as a level 7 and earned her mobility score. In November and December she competed in two level eight competitions.
Jordyn began competing in gymnastics in January of 2003 when she competed in the 7th Annual Twistars Invitational. Jordyn scored a 34.025 in her very first competition placing 6th AA! She competed at the Ypsilante Sectional scoring a 34.550 and then traveled to Chicago for the Navy Pier Invitational where she placed first on vault. She also placed 4th at the Port Huron Section, 2nd at the Spring Fling, and 9th at the Splitz Sectional. Jordyn went on to win the Level 5 Michigan Gold State Championships in May. In October of 2003 Jordyn competed as a level 5 gymnast at the MI NAWGJ Judges Cup where she placed 1st on bars, beam, floor and the all around! She also won the Saginaw Sectional, Early States, and The Cup!
